The sculpture at the top of the column adorns the doorway of the Beaux-Arts home of the American Geographical Society (now Boricua College) at Audubon Terrace, Broadway at 155th St., just north of the Hispanic Society of America's home. Ubique is Latin for "everywhere" - hence our "ubiquitous" and the French ubiquiste, describing a person who's everywhere at once.

At the top of this column is Beethoven  by Henry Baerer, 1894, sited in Prospect Park (Brooklyn) near the Wollman skating rink.
